Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

Our company uses Paylocity for everything from Time & Attendance, through Development and Training, including Payroll completion. My interactions with Paylocity staff, when needed, have been efficient, professional, and incredibly supportive. They have walked me through a few tough items and I appreciate that they are constantly looking to streamline processes while maintaining all legal functions. The staff have always been friendly and shown patience - they jump off to make sure they have the correct information rather than leading me down incorrect solutions - valuing my time is a plus!

Pros

  • Always looking to improve the processes

Cons

  • Recent wait times have been 3X as long when calling in
  • Culling the "help" library of outdated information
  • Streamlined training and communication that are trackable
  • Workflows that are cost savers
  • Multiple data connect points that allow for deep dives into staff impacts
Our streamlined payroll process has reduced the number of hours I have to invest there, rewarding me with more time to connect and develop existing employees while searching out our next excellent hires. Being able to change from a contract hire model to a direct hire model has saved us more than $500,000 in fees, allowing us to purchase new instruments and increase production while also supporting the acquisition of a larger employee workforce.
I enjoy the survey and announcement options for better communication and recognition. Everyone likes to know that their contributions are appreciated and seen - Paylocity provides easy ways to do so that build up team morale.
I have found that I can get much of planned goals knocked out with the tools Paylocity provides. In exploring the items offered (data points, reporting etc.) I have even been able to push beyond my initial goals and achieve more for my team. I value the strengths Paylocity brings to the table that support me being able to be present for my employees.
I have found that Paylocity has a better introductory model that a user can grow with. I also value the helpdesk team that is there for support - such a game changer to know you have that support!

Having worked in retail, restaurant, construction, and now environmental lab settings, I can honestly say that I have not experienced an industry where this platform would not be an asset in Onboarding, training, Developing, and retaining staff. If you take the time to explore all that is offered through their platform, you'll find it's a treasure trove of supportive guidance and structure that enables HR in particular to focus more on individual team members instead of getting bogged down in the bogs of paperwork and tracking.
