Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for payroll and service management

Pros

  • responsive customer service
  • easy to change compensation rates
  • nice portal for customers to use

Cons

  • improved way to set up vacation policies so it is more clear
  • improved initial training of new clients
  • more consistent payroll process
  • more consistent process to reimburse for mileage and other expenses
  • ability for employees to have visibility to pay and other needed items.
We have found that overall the system is easy to use which means that employees can do things that they need to without asking so many questions.
In general things are easy to use. I wish there were a few other easily accessible features- a better calculation for sick and vacation time, a payroll calendar, etc.
However, the clocking in and out system is easy to use and the payroll process is simple.
We switched from Paychex to Paylocity, and they were much better. In our experience, Paychex was terrible- billing us for things that we did not do, impossible to get a hold of, and terrible portal.
