Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

HR & Payroll, Timecards, Community Board, LMS, Self Service Portal - we are able to use a lot of those functions for employee "intranet" type functions. Payroll and communication within groups are huge.

Pros

  • Our account manager is awesome! Very professional, helpful and knowledgeable.
  • Community Board and Self Service Portal are great tools for employees and HR.
  • Communication is really good on things that are going on and new products

Cons

  • Reporting needs to be more robust and easier to build reports needed.
  • More offerings in the LMS system.
  • More consistent processes
  • Better workplace communication in central hub area (community board)
  • Data Insights reporting for HR and Executive Team
In my experience, the time off tracking and accrual needs to be more robust and user friendly. Currently every screen shows different balances between employees and HR and difference areas within Paylocity (app, self service portal, HR & Payroll or Time & Labor under Time Off) and it is virtually impossible without going through line by line to determine what the employee should have and what projected balances they should have on certain dates. Needs to be much more of a simple process and user friendly than it is.
Employee engagement is up now that we are using the community board for internal communications. We can see what positions review announcements and people are interacting on the boards a little more.
There are a lot of great functions and a couple key areas that need some work. Overall pleased.

Our account manager is fantastic. Communication is good. Functionality within Community and Self Service Portal provide great tools for employees. Data insights is very helpful for HR.
