Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We have four entities that use Paylocity. We have always found that if there are any issues that do arise, Paylocity easily works us though the problems very quickly. We love the ability to put in a ticket request and have an answer within a few hours. They always follow up to ensure the problem has been resolved.

Pros

  • Being able to process payroll easily and seamless
  • Being able to make necessary updates when needed
  • Being able to track PTO / Sick hours
  • Onboarding is very easy for the employees and admins to complete
  • Mobile app seems to be very easy for employees to use

Cons

  • I think when there is an update like the BBB, that update should have automatically been completed.
  • I wish there was more capabilities to have Spanish for onboarding
  • being able to tab through the payroll entry instead of using mouse to move through.
  • When entering payroll, making it easier to toggle between employees.
  • Paylocity in a whole has had a positive impact our company to achieve processing payroll effectively and timely
  • The onboarding process is a huge time saver, we do however wish they had a Spanish version that is easier to follow for those employees
  • What would be great is having an ERP system within Paylocity, I don't believe there is one. Especially tracking job costing.
Being able to have employees access through their mobile devices really helps to avoid disruptions to HR. The time tracking portion withing Paylocity can use some improvement as I think it can be confusing for the employee to see what is available etc...Paylocity functionality does allow HR admins to put more time into other tasks because of the many functions Paylocity holds.
Having the employees be able to update their address, taxes within their cell phone app is truly a time saver.
When I first started using Paylocity a year ago, it was very easy to pick up. To be able to find my way around the system was very user friendly. Having the mobile app being user friendly as well helps HR overall. I would like to see some ease of data entry processing payroll.

  • ADP Streamline Payroll
ADP was very similar to the way Paylocity is, but I seem to favor Paylocity to be honest. Miter was VERY difficult to use and set up. I wouldn't ever consider using that software ever again. I didn't like a lot of aspect Miter had to offer either. Paylocity would always be my choice.

We feel very comfortable with Paylocity processing our payroll, paying taxes timely, filing the appropriate filings that ease the owners worries. I personally have used many platforms of payroll services and I truly feel Paylocity is one of the best I have used. There is always room for improvement, I think being the end user I would do some of the data entry differently to ease the amount of time and clicking through. If that makes sense.
