Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We switched to Paylocity due to our business growing and we outgrew our old HRIS. Paylocity has allowed for easier onboarding, better ATS for recruiting and tracking, companywide surveys to be sent out, companywide trainings, and more efficient HR functions. It is also nice having the hierarchy feature and being able to assign supervisors. The performance tab is nice to be able to document conversations and create forms to ensure employees are held accountable to their job duties.

Pros

  • Performance tab- document one on ones. document corrective actions, set PIPs, employee receives the feedback
  • Survey- employee insight to know how our employees are feeling about their position, leader and department
  • Time and Labor - being able to have multiple cost center tiers for easier time allocation tracking

Cons

  • Reporting feature - need better reporting when it comes to recruiting. We still manually track recruiting efforts
  • better visibility
we have not been able to automate our payroll yet. we use a crm that does not communicate with Paylocity. we are switching crms and hoping to get this API link working.
we have not used these features quite yet. We communicate heavily on teams but looking to transition.
It is nice that Paylocity sends out birthday alerts and anniversary alerts
we still need to explore all of Paylocity's capabilities

easy self service options for employees to update direct deposit, tax forms, address, phone number, etc
ton of trainings to send employees with the ability to send company wide or to specific users or specific positions
ability to easily create onboarding packets surveys and data insights
wish reporting were an easier function and better recruiting reporting or ability to link our indeed to auto upload into Paylocity versus manually entering the applicants
