Good software for the money

We use Paylocity to process payroll and track human resources. As controller of the company I use Paylocity for lots of things. I gather information from Paylocity for audit of our 401k program, for insurance renewals and audits, for management decisions and questions. I also post the weekly payrolls to the general ledger on the gl reports from Paylocity. I also have some quarterly reporting that I have to get information for. We use the reporting a lot.

Paylocity has made doing payroll and tax reporting easier and provided time savings for the payroll position at the company. We are a small company so there isn't that large of an impact other than the ability to not worry about tax and compliance items as much as we have had to in the past. It is a net expense to the company, but the benefits are worth the cost, but they are a cost above what we were paying before.

Not a lot. These items sound good, but I am not sure that we receive very much benefit and I haven't heard any employees speak of these things. People are more engaged in getting the work done in front of them, this is mostly just side noise that they don't spend any significant time or energy on.
