Overall Satisfaction with Plesk
It has been used as part of managing a web hosting platform for websites. Plesk has helped make administration of more complex tasks within a hosting environment far more easier. Anything from changing mail records through to implementing various CMS platforms has been a snap with Plesk.
- Implementing various packages/systems
- Managing hosting settings from a GUI interface
- Monitoring the hosting environment for any issues
- Interface Improvement: It is a bit hard to find specific functions
- Additional integration with third party services would be great
- categorization of services to make management easier
- The system has meant other can manage the system rather than specific techs
- The backup system straight to other storage services is great!
- Security of the system is big - it works straight away and allows for simple management
I've found cPanel to be much more intuitive than Plesk over the years. Both have had very clunky interfaces, however a great deal of development by both Plesk and cPanel has been done in this area. I feel that cPanel at the moment has an easier interface to work in (however it is also a more common hosting platform as well).
