Overall Satisfaction with Vasion Print
Vasion Print gives us the ability to remotely install copiers in mass on end user devices in a easy to use, and cloud native portal. I can quickly change printer names and update them globally with a few clicks rather than updating the print configuration on the print server which is usually tedious and unreliable.
Pros
- Easy to setup
- Integrates with multiple Idps
- Simple hierarchy
- copier install by subnet
- Not on premise hosted leaving infrastructure highly available in the cloud
Cons
- settings is busy hard to find things
- Idp was hard to setup but it mainly was due to myself never setting it up before
- deployment by subnet was a little confusing at first but now I'm versed with it
- seems all printers like to use the universal driver but not a requirement by Vasion Print
- Positive deploying printers is easier and quicker without end user intervention
- Can add printers in seconds
- Can upload any drivers that I wish
- self service portal for staff who need specific printers but not all
