Overall Satisfaction with PrinterLogic

We use PrinterLogic as a replacement for PaperCut. We can rely on a serverless infrastructure without sacrificing any functionality that we had with PaperCut. The possibility for azure integration is also a plus. We actually gained the possibility of releasing jobs via the mobile phone by scanning a QR code on the device.
  • Making sure every printer uses the correct print driver
  • Eliminating the need for a print server
  • Deploying printers based on a predefined ip range
  • Mobile phone has a bug that when you delete a print job within the app it takes a long time to actually be deleted from the joblist. In some cases IT dept needs to delete it manually
  • No way to track copies per user
  • Scan to mail function is (still) missing
  • Serverless approach to CPA on the multifunctionals is missing. We still need a dedicated client for this.
  • Safer way of printing, even for construction workers on-site
  • The possibility of (eventually) ditching our print server
  • No more need of touching the printer screen, because you can release by phone. making it safer for people to catch illnesses
We selected PrinterLogic because of its serverless approach. We want to move off-site with our IT infrastructure and this is another step in the good direction. Printing is also released more securely, requiring username and pin or release from a mobile phone.
This coupled with the fact that every printer is able to use its dedicated driver is another plus which we couldn't find in PaperCut.

Do you think PrinterLogic delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with PrinterLogic's feature set?

Yes

Did PrinterLogic live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of PrinterLogic go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy PrinterLogic again?

Yes

PrinterLogic is great at printing consistently to any printer available via mobile phone secure release so even the construction workers on-site can release print jobs securely from the most basic of printers. That wasn't the case before. The serverless solution falls a tiny bit short in our case because we need to have proper information on what every user copies numbers are. For that we still need local AD intergration on the printer itself, which is a bummer if you want to go serverless entirely.
