Close to great
Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore is currently being used primarily within our operations departments, but also has involvement from other departments such as accounting, contracts, and marketing. Procore is excellent at filing and organizing documentation between ourselves and subcontractors and ourselves and owners. Procore provides tools and applications to efficiently and consistently track and find the needed documents and documentation (i.e. communications).
Pros
- Filing and organizing documents and documentation (communication).
- On-the-go functionality, such as the mobile app that allows you to access files, upload pictures, or document phone conversations through their directory tool.
- Streamlined formating for and organizing of pay applications, change orders, change events, etc.
Cons
- You should be able to save to the Procore Drive. The fact you can't is a huge inconvenience.
- Having to rely on a website can be frustrating at times, if the internet is slow or if they are doing maintenance.
- Learning curve for some people. Some of the applications are not user-friendly or easy to understand.
- Not ideal for federal construction clients (i.e., USACE, Air Force, etc.).
- Positive ROI would be the mobile app and the functionality of the on-the-go applications.
- A negative ROI would be the learning curve to get to a point when you are proficient using the program.
- Another negative ROI is the fact that you can't save to Procore Drive. If you have to save documents to your desktop, it adds a step to the process instead of making it more efficient.
I have not used any other products similar to Procore. This is the first time I have used a project management software program. In the past, I have only used standard service-based filing and folders, with Microsoft Excel and Word. Overall, I have been happy with this experience and am continuing to be more efficient with Procore.
