Document Control Savior
Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Procore is extremely helpful with document control. For years we had folders in folders in folders full of drawings, specifications, addenda, etc., and it was always confusing because everyone had a different filing system. With Procore it has you use the issue date, received date, set name, drawing name, when you upload, which files everything based on date, so you aren't using the wrong documents to install work. A simple idea, but they execute it perfectly.
Pros
- Document Control
- Organization
- Different Access Levels so Junior team members can't cause issues
Cons
- Procore is so extensive that there is definitely a learning curve
- While worth it, Procore is expensive
- Could be optimized for better use for Estimators
- Using the correct documents
- Less tasks being missed due to RFI logs, etc.
- Slows down the estimating process due to requiring too much information
None that I know of.
Procore is becoming more popular, so when we hire new employees, a lot of the time, they are already familiar with how to use Procore, so they pick it up very quickly!
