Overall Satisfaction with Prophix

Prophix is being used across the entire organization, from Corporate to R&D. It streamlines the budgeting, forecasting and reporting process which allows for faster closing times. We also use Prophix for personnel planning and cross charging between departments.

Pros

  • The user interface is easy to work with.
  • Budget streamlining.
  • Flexibility.

Cons

  • Large reports with multiple data views can be slow to open.
  • Requires dedicated training and use of consultants for initial implementation.
  • MDX can be challenging.
  • Faster budget close process.
Prophix allows for the integration of financial and personal data which makes it easy to review and make adjustments during the budget process. It is also better than Excel as multiple inputs can be made at the same time and the changes can be seen reflected in real time.

Dashboards allow you to provide the data as a big picture. Prophix can deal with data from multiple sources and we are able to drill across to see more detailed transactional information from our ERP system.
