Overall Satisfaction with Prophix

We use Prophix primarily for FP&A. However with how easy it is to use, we are hoping to implement it for other deliverables. The produce allows us to translate complicated data from a variety of sources into immediately actionable reports. The ability to export the reports and then make explanations based on the data provided in Excel, Prophix, or other softwares makes explanation of financials remarkably easy.
  • Ease of explanation
  • Flexible to various users
  • Very easy learning curve for material
  • Providing information on individual transactions would be very helpful
  • ease of creating new connections to other software (particularly for the DPM)
  • A better database of common questions that arise during the use of the product
  • steamlining budgeting and analysis
  • faster report building
  • faster variance analysis
The fact that Prophix uses such a similar build to Excel makes it very easy to transition. Excel is wildly adaptable, but that means that the functionality requires far more input. Prophix, as a much more targeted software mitigates the unnecessary tasks to allow the user to immediately dig into the tasks that are relevant to the deliverables that Finance teams often deal with
The learning curve to understanding Prophix is far less severe than it has been with other softwares. It requires much less time in order to learn how to be a beginning user and then each progression to deeper levels of understanding is remarkably easy. I appreciate the simplicity of the training and the database available for users.

Do you think Prophix delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Prophix's feature set?

Yes

Did Prophix live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Prophix go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Prophix again?

Yes

Prophix is very useful in presenting existing data and incorporating a new budget. The similarity it bears to Excel requires very little additional learning. However, we do struggle using forecasting models as we often change our existing teams and accounts which skew existing forecasting models. It would be very much appreciated if there was a way to make a forecast model without a historical requirement.
