For me, the best FP&A and budgeting system
Overall Satisfaction with Prophix
We use Prophix for our annual budget, from the detailed stages such as people budgets, to financial indicators through multi-year modeling. Our system is integrated with the PIMS agricultural control system, which brings even more efficiency and transparency in data. We use ERP Protheus from TOTVS, which also has full integration via APIS and PIS itself.
Pros
- Detailed people budget
- Consolidation of multiple business units, companies and branches
- Information distribution and reporting automation
Cons
- Ease of preparing MDX calculations
- Improvements in processes, such as the possibility of charming another process
- Improvements to the colors of dashboard graphs
- Reduction in budgeting time
- Speed with the opening of new business units
- Data reliability, without multiple sources with different numbers
It practically did away with more than 30 spreadsheets, for something fully integrated. I reinforce that the company's models need to be well matured for greater ease of implementation and success with the system.
Another important point is the issue of security, where it is possible to limit a user to access to the smallest multiple of a plan of accounts x dimension, thus creating greater security under the LGPD standards (in Brazil), and other information privacy laws.
A final point is that it is hosted in the cloud, with access to multiple devices and in any location.

We carried out an evaluation with IBM, and some other national software that is not on the list, such as Lever Pro and Allstrategy. For IBM, our main problem was that the software representative wanted to sell something modular, thus losing all the functionality of a "blank book", but the two projects had similar implementation prices, as well as Opex.
