Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase

We are using QuickBase as a project management tool. It enables communication across several departments. When fully implemented it will allow management to see the status of all projects and where they are in their lifecycle quickly and easily. The organization is excited to have this new tool available to us. I am excited to learn the capabilities of this tool as a new user with no coding or programing background.
  • For getting the job done, it is very adept at notifications to a person or department. This allows everything to be electronic which is much faster than forwarding word documents as such.
  • It is fairly easy to create an app without any programing background.
  • The HELP and Community Questions and Answers are very helpful. When you ask a question, help is provided very quickly, you don't have to wait days.
  • Predecessors automatically assigning themselves based on rules within the predecessor field. I'm not a fan of having to select a predecessor for each of my tasks when the tasks are always the same.
I would say the organization has benefited from the use of QuickBase to streamline and speed up workflows.
  • None
QuickBase is the only solution available to me that I know of.
I have absolutely no programming background and have been able to create a fairly robust project management tool. It has taken 5 months so far and I am still not completely done with the app. However, it is currently in a state that it can be used by others, it's just not as user-friendly as I intend. I have had no help from IT building my app. I've used Help and Google.
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
I haven't gotten this far just yet.
I only know that it is well suited for project management since it's the only app I've worked with.
