Overall Satisfaction with Quickbase

The biggest problem is in our insurance industry, the need for an agency management system is crucial for operations, for clients, and for accounting purposes. So we essentially use Quickbase to put together in one place all of our customers, all of our information, all of our revenue, all of our compliance, and all of our accounting.
  • The charts and tables are incredibly fast. Exporting to Excel or CSV is super fast. Migrating in and out of different applications is super fast. So I think everything in terms of moving in and out of different robust data systems is still very fast.
  • I think the one that pops to in my mind is a drag-and-drop feature. Some of our tables and application charts don't have that. I have to go in and manually upload a link or URL. I'd rather just take something from a file or from a URL and drag and drop it.
  • The positive impact it's had is that over the course of eight years, we've tried agency management systems and what we love about Quickbase is that we can tailor it to our specific needs. Other management systems have a box and they say, "This is what you can do, this is what you can't do. Everybody can do it." But Quickbase gives us the freedom to tailor-make certain things, and that is probably the biggest cost-saving revenue portion we've had so far.
Insurance is a very complex entity. There are all forms of insurance. A particular specialty that my company provides is errors and omissions for other agents and brokers. Now with that, the complexity is all of our clients, all of their information, all of their premiums, all of their data, all of their sensitive, crucial revenue information. Now, all of that combined into one, the complexity is we don't want to have people accessing that. So Quickbase offers us the luxury of being able to specify who can see what and how they can see it. Essentially insurance covers a wide range, and these days insurance is ensuring those who have different types of issues, whether it's cyber attacks or cyber threats. Quickbase gives us the peace of mind that we can show or not show and dictate who gets to see certain things.
This is the first time I've used this type of product. Generally, it's either on Excel or it's on PowerPoint or it's on Word. So this is my first experience with this type of application.

I think it's well-suited in all areas. As a matter of fact, someone was talking about film and how they can use collaboration and information and apply it to a Quickbase database system. I'm just amazed that it could probably be used almost anywhere. Someone said even recipes for a cooking website.
