Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
We've used QuickBooks many years for managing multiple ecommerce companies, amazon sales, and wholesale sales. We use it to track our inventory which ranges from simple single bottle supplements to complex multi piece builds for large packages of items. There are plenty of connectors to the web platforms available for Shopify, amazon, etc that work great.
- Reporting
- Inventory Management
- Ecommerce Integrations
- Enterprise could use the same integration/data pulls that QB online offers
- direct connections to Shopify
- direct connections to amazon
- Ease of use for new staff
- Should have its own Shopify connector - not third party
- Needs better online integration options
QuickBooks has handled our growth and size really well. The transaction / database size is becoming a problem for us due to the number of transactions we now do. We either will have to upgrade or move to a different platform. This has scaled with us for the last 10 years without any issues.
Setup is easy and quick, just time consuming which is to be expected as you map everything how you need it. Integrations with outside connectors does take a bit more time and effort, but that is more of an issue with the connectors than it is with QuickBooks.
By pairing QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with V2 hosting we're able to access our accounting files from home or from anywhere remote. Paired together we're also able to use Webgility to post orders from our online shopping platforms all in one location.
These other options are quite a bit more complex, customizable, and provide lots of options for creating custom integrations. However they all come with an exceptionally high yearly price tag and would require additional programming time to setup those additional features. Most of the features we need are already baked in to QuickBooks.
