Use Cases and Deployment Scope

QuickBooks is used as main accounting software. We are a small company and the basic software version suits all our needs. The cloud version provide access by our accountant to do end of month verification, AR and invoicing.

Pros and Cons

Could access
multiple user support
easy of use event for non accountant user

More feature without having to pay more, like inventory management, having independant fleet tracking system
Some interactive tutorial to assist non accountant user
Add dedicated control, like which user can do what.

Return on Investment

There is no ROI, it's an expense and it's a little better then using Exell file

At first we used Excel, which was enough, but quickly switch to an accounting software.

Usability

For non accounting user, it's mostly easy to use. The gui is simple and we can understand what the menu or submenu is for. But when it come to reporting, to register payment and the so not working automated rule when linked with the bank account it's becoming more difficult to use.
With non accounting knowledge and experience, the basic stuff is good, but should have been more interactive guide and an accountant was needed to check and validate our data entry.

Likelihood to Recommend

The software cover the basic part of accounting. Easy to enter supplier/vendor invoicing as well as customer invoices. On an other side, there is some room to improve the exporting feature as well as the weekly timesheet.

It's good but could be better.
