Using Raiser's Edge NXT
17 - Fund development and executives. Most of the users of NXT are in the development department and use the program to track constituent actions, requests, and other communications. The program is very useful to prevent numerous employees from reaching out to the same constituents for funding requests.
1 - We have one person who it the "go-to" for answers to questions on NXT. We also utilize the knowledgebase on the blackbaud website to find answers to questions or call the support line when none of the previous methods work.
- Tracking "actions" for constituents and making sure "touches" occur frequently.
- Report tracking--ensures reports for grants are submitted in a timely manner.
- Solicitation assignments--helps to ensure different people are not requesting funds from the same donor.
- Photo uploads-Uploading photo of the constituents is helpful to put a face to the names.
- Creating lists to work on a specific group of constituents and scroll through them easily.
- Stronger email communications with constituents.
- more "touches" with constituents--including birthday notes.
- Organization of our development employees and the ability of each of them to add their own "actions" with constituents has been a major improvement.
Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT
Our organization uses Raiser's Edge NXT across the organization. We use it for constituent management, donor research, and record keeping. It gives us the ability for our staff across the world to log in and view records on our constituents and prospective donors in a simple web view.
- Ease of use across our international projects with web view.
- Great action tracking and assignment functionality.
- Ease of use for our visitors center to look up membership activity for members.
- The Online Express part of NXT could use some improvement. Having the ability to track different e-communications or e-newsletters the constituents would like to receive.
- More integration with Research Point.
- I am still a new user of the program so I do not have too many suggestions at this time.

- Increased revenue from existing donors
We are still in the early stages of using the program so we have not had the opportunity to evaluate which outcomes we have achieved.
We have not had the opportunity to utilize many of these opportunities.
Our organiztion has been using Raiser's Edge (RE) for more than 20 years. I have not used or evaluated other programs. When NXT became available we were already quite pleased with RE so knew we would be getting a good product.
