Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT
We have used Blackbaud products for many years and I have been in the Business Office for more than that. We use it for contacts and Fund Raising and daily contributions which then posts to the general ledger.
- It does the expected- keeping track of donors and alumni i.e. addresses and history
- Since I am on the business end I find items that are not posted as the report from the development indicates that it will be.
- RE has always been quirky to begin with and the on line version is "quirkier." During the posting batches have disappeared so I have to make manual journal entries.
- I use several softwares during the day and being knocked out and have to login in over and over through out the day is frustrating beyond belief!

We have not. We are dependent on our IT company (outside contracted service) to keep the system working.
On the accounting side Blackbaud has been a very, very good program. In fact we have used it for so long that I don't even know what else is out there in the IT world. We have an annual audit and the firm we are using now are very confident of the security and capability of the FE system.
