Overall Satisfaction with Rubrik
We currently use Rubrik as the County's Enterprise Backup and Recovery Solution. Currently, we use Rubrik to backup our Oracle and SQL databases, file servers, O365 environment, VMWare infrastructure. We maintain approximately 2 weeks [of] backups on prem for near term data recover and archive to the cloud (Wasabi) for long-term retention.
Pros
- Validates all backups against ransomware during and after backups are performed.
- Is seamless in backing up data whether on prem or in the Cloud.
- Support engineers are extremely knowledgeable and useful in providing guidance.
- Integrates will with native Oracle and SQL backup processes.
Cons
- Could use better data compression. While good, could be better.
- Reduced backup duration to fit within the 8 hour backup window established.
- Enhanced the County's cybersecurity posture by added a layer of protection against Ransomware.
Rubrik was able to address all the backup needs of the County and provide a value add in Ransomware protection for our backups at the same or lower price point.
