Overall Satisfaction with Rubrik
Having used other backup products from other vendors, I was pleasantly surprised just how easy Rubrik is to install, use and support.
It works fantastically well when paired with VMWare vCenter, but also has an agent that can be used for backup independently of VMWare.

- Easy to install
- Comprehensive OS coverage
- Very simple and fast to restore VMs from backup
- Would like support for more 3rd party products - doesn't currently support MaxDB
- Would like support for Sybase
- Great documentation, however, would like to see more
- Great integration with other products
Veeam was evaluated as an alternative, however, Rubrik had tighter integration with other infrastructure in the stack, such as storage.
Rubrik, being primarily a hardware appliance can be installed much more rapidly.
Performance of instant recoveries is staggeringly quick and easy making it a good choice as an easy to learn product for a large set of analysts.
