Overall Satisfaction with RUN Powered by ADP®
We used ZipRecruiter, but were not impressed with the candidates that we making it through the application. Experience was not relevant and applications that were incomplete could still be submitted even if they did not answer our dealbreaker questions. I think that was more an issue with ZipRecruiter than ADP though.
I run payroll with RUN Powered by ADP®. It appropriately calculates and submits taxes to the state and fed for each of our 20+ employees and saves me time each payroll and at the end of they year with preparing tax documents. The mobile app also allows employees to go in and view their paystubs or change their direct deposit information any time they choose without having to go through me.

Cons
- The reports could be more user friendly and adaptable.
- PTO not updating until after the payroll for the anniversary of the hire date can be confusing to employees.
- Having manual checks be able to post to the account before processing payroll would be helpful, especially if it is running with the next payroll but needs to be issued a couple of days before. Currently, I have to manually add it, then remove it after I process payroll.
- Overall it is very good, but I do get quite a few emails for selling other products that we do not need. Sometimes they can get a little pushy.
It's great! They can view their paystubs and update direct deposit information. Some have enjoyed WorkPerks discounts as well.
It would be nice if the employees could update their W4/tax withholding through the portal as well if they choose.

I enjoy the automatic tax filing and the payroll interface. The automatic error flagging has been helpful for employees that have a different pay schedule than our standard biweekly staff.
We switched from QuickBooks Online Payroll to ADP. The interface and look of QBO was better than ADP, but the service and understanding of how errors affect our staff and our firm with regard to tax implications is FAR greater with ADP. QBO took over 8 months and more than 3 attempts to make corrections on W2 in 2025 for an error that they created.
