Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage Intacct for all Finance functions. Finance is the only department to use it.

Pros

  • I like how customizable the software is.
  • Using Intacct is easy and can be personalized to the user or role.

Cons

  • I wish we could customize screens based on personal use. The best example is while entering bills. I would like to hide fields that we don't use and sort them in the order we like to enter them. I would like to have a separate "post" vs "post and new" button. This would allow us to eliminate the use of a mouse and speed up manual invoice entry.
  • When submitting bills for payment it would be nice to have multiple approvers based on the entity of the payment request. As it is now, one person receives all the requests. We would like the notifications to go out based on the bank account the request is made for.
  • We would like the option to select all bills in the pay bills screen.
  • I do not perform this function.
Ultimately I think this depends on the other software you are using. Intacct has some limitations when syncing with Salesforce. We cannot use sync to update transactions between the two the way we would like. This creates some manual work that is time-consuming.
Blows both of those out of the water. Fish out of the water don't survive for long.
I really like how much you can restrict abilities based on the user or role. We would like more options to be added though.

We would like the ability for inner company bills to be able to be processed and applied in the system more automatically. For example, when we create a receivable for one entity then the other entity automatically creates a payable on the same invoice.
