Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct is being used mainly by our accounting department, but we do utilize dashboards to show our operations managers their reports and their performance cards. We utilize many of the dimensions in each transaction to make our data granular and get specifics. We are a watersports company that runs many different trips, so using the dimensions is important so that we can know the profitability of each trip, even if they are on the same boat at a different time of the day.
- It is easy to use. The initial implementation is a pain, and luckily I joined right after this was done at our company, but I was able to pick up on how to use Sage Intacct very quickly.
- It is customizable so it can work for several different types of companies. I was at Intacct Advantage this year in Las Vegas, and I met every type of business there that uses Sage Intacct. We are a watersports company, but there were hospital, production companies, etc.
- Reports. The reporting aspect is very good.
- Interactive Custom Report writer - it should be an out of the box option, not an upgrade.. Especially since it is not fully developed.
- Sometimes it crashes.
- In AP we use an account that requires a certain field, but that field is not listed when you go to manually input a bill...very strange.
- We have gone from being a team of 6 to a team of 3
- More accountability for managers
- Greater visibility with reporting options
I don't know if we have fully utilized this feature. We do use the automatic journal entries for repeating monthly expenses, so that we no longer have to remember to record something that just automatically happens every month anyway. Otherwise, I do not believe we have fully used the other automation.
We are a multi-entity company. I love the ease of use with the toggle feature to toggle into another company when you need to. The only thing I don't really like, but I can see being useful for other customers, is that if you create a new customer in one of your entities, they do not appear at the top level. I can see this being useful for companies when they are doing the accounting for several companies, but in our case all of our customers should be across the board.
I have hardly used any other products besides Sage Intacct, however one of our companies was still using Quickbooks up until about 6 months ago.I must say that Intacct is much better. They layout of everything is very clear. There is no guessing on how to get to the place you need to be.
