Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct is used by the accounting department at my organization, however there are some select employees in other departments who have view only access.
- Very intuitive interface.
- Global consolidation is very simple (once set up correctly).
- Ability to easily tailor the product to each company's unique needs.
- Needs improvement on reporting when there is a subsidiary with a different base currency (particularly with the Contracts module).
- Ability to merge vendors should be available.
- Ability to merge customers should be available.
- Sage Intacct continually creates products to help save time (and therefore reduce the need for additional headcount) which has created a ROI in our organization. Some examples include the auto matching in bank reconciliations and automatic renewals for invoicing in the Contracts module.
The most recent impact we have seen from automation from Sage Intacct is we acquired a new entity with thousand of customers, so needed an efficient way to invoice approximately 300 customers per month. We used the Contracts module to easily import the new customers, products, invoice amounts, rev rec dates, etc and are now able to invoice these customers on a monthly basis in a couple hours instead of spending days of data entry to create them. Note, I think the Contracts module is great when invoicing in only the entity's base currency. It still has some work which needs to be done when an entity invoices in various currencies.
As mentioned previously, the global consolidation and contract modules are very helpful.
Sage Intacct is obviously a huge step up from Quickbooks, which is what we used prior to making the switch.
