Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We are using Intacct mainly in the accounting department, but then also have individuals across the organization using the Time and Expense module. Intacct solves a lot of problems, the main ones being ASC606 tracking, robust financial reporting, and automation of manual tasks such as AP, AR, consolidation, and financial reporting.
  • ASC606 tracking
  • Automation
  • Financial reporting
  • Partnering with other vendors and seamlessly integrating with them
  • There is limited training up front.
  • Prepaid and Fixed Asset modules could use a face-lift.
  • The Fixed Asset module is not as intuitive as the rest of the system.
  • Automation has saved us time and allowed us to work on more meaningful tasks.
  • Contracts module has allowed us the ability to track ASC606 information.
  • Business insights are more easily obtained.
Sage Intacct is super user-friendly and is very intuitive to use. And for those areas that may be new or more confusing, there is a robust help center that is always helpful. It's also great for multi-entity structures and allows accounting to scale with the business. The only reason I don't rate it a 10 is that the Fixed Asset module could be made a little more user-friendly.
I have had great experiences working with support. They have always been able to help me solve my problems, even when they were complicated issues. I put an 8 here because there have been a couple of times where responses weren't as timely as I had hoped, but overall they're a great group.

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

We have definitely benefited from automation in all of those areas. In some instances, we are using a third party to help facilitate, but they all integrate seamlessly with Intacct. I would say the general ledger automation has been the greatest benefit as we are able to do a lot of things we weren't able to do previously.
We previously used QuickBooks, which is a great beginner system, but we needed a much more robust system in order to scale our business. Sage Intacct has more than provided that much needed increase in robustness and has us setup to be very successful over the next several years as our business continues to grow.
Sage Intacct is well suited for SaaS companies that are looking for a robust contracts module that can handle subscription-based services and the tracking of ASC606 information. I could see maybe a more traditional goods-based business not finding the system as useful, but I still think it would be a great system overall for anyone.
