Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The company uses Intacct daily for data entry on invoices received, payments made, and creating reports. It is currently used by everyone in the company. It is our online storage "cloud" for the company. I Intacct helps the company stay organized and on track with what needs to be paid and with closing out accounts for the month.

Pros and Cons

Database: Holds everything I need.
You can save attachments.
Auto-populates info for easy and quick data entry.

Export reports to Excel, Word &/or PDFs.

The attachment folders. Placing attachments in alphabetical order

Sage Intacct Automation

My area is mainly in the accounts payable section. I use the accounts payable - bills, vendors, pay, print checks features. However, occasionally I'll use the general ledger to input credit card charges and wire transfers. besides that, my colleagues use the more "advanced" features. I've never heard complaints from them and I always see them using Intacct to help with the bigger financial tasks around the office. Additionally, we don't have a accounts receivable department.

Sage Intacct Configuration

Honestly, I watched the tutorial/training videos Intacct offered before even trying on my own. Although, Intacct is very user-friendly and I think I would have been fine without the videos. I find it easy to access and navigate. Whenever I get stuck or I need to use a new feature, I love that Intacct offers a help search bar. There's plenty of ways to find out the answers on your own without calling a help desk. For me, I love that! I find that I can access anything in Intacct!

Alternatives Considered

QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and CentralSquare Public Safety Suite Pro (Zuercher)

Personally, I like Intacct better. I only use QuickBooks to make payments. I only use Square for data entries of sales and End of Day Sales reports. Intacct just offers what I need and never seems to fail (glitch, have server issues). I mainly use Intacct, maybe I'm biased towards it.

Likelihood to Recommend

Despite the few suggestions for improvement, I still love Intacct. I find it user-friendly and clear. My suggestions were few but very minor, nothing that "makes it or breaks it" for me. Intacct holds everything I need, on any computer! I love that it's like an online cloud. It almost reminds me of a Google Drive. I also noticed that Intacct rarely glitches or has updating issues! This is perfect because sometimes I'll log in during "closed hours." I also like the fact that Intacct offers online accounting courses for new members. Overall, I'd say Intacct is a great company.
