Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct is being used across the entire organization. We started to utilize it as purely an accounting system, but have implemented the contract module and are now using it for billing as well. Intacct has been really helpful in managing a multi-entity organization, allowing each business unit to have visibility with a top-level view for the parent company.
- Statistical journals allow us to put KPIs into the system for monthly reporting
- Once you understand the dynamics of the financial reports, they are quite powerful
- Load files - we do not have to use the UI for everything
- Posting payments in an automated fashion is challenging
- You have to manually run processes like contract invoicing rather than off of a schedule
- Some of the modules are a bit behind the core product which makes them a bit disjointed
- Not sure if it was good ROI on the contracts module
- Great ROI vs. Sage 50
- Easy to configure for base level reporting as well
The majority of the processes that have been improved resulting from utilizing load files into each one of those modules. This includes journal entries, accounts payable invoices, accounts receivable invoices, and order entry invoices. There has been SOME improvement due to automated workflows through the purchase order process.
We are operating in a multi-entity environment and are utilizing the contracts module. There have been some growing pains/teething issues with the implementation of that module, but it has allowed us to bring a lot of our customer management processes in house, creating better visibility into the business.

- Sage 50cloud Accounting (formerly Sage 50 Accounting)
Sage Intacct is far superior to Sage 50. The majority of Sage 50 required the exclusive use of the UI. In a company with many different transactions across multiple entities, it was very challenging to manage processes that impact multiple locations all at once. The efficiency gained from the change has been very impactful.
