Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Intacct for financial reporting and 1099 generation. It is linked to bill.com and Tallie for processing payables and expenses, which allows us to keep the user count low on Intacct. We use a multi-dimensional setup in Intacct to review our data. The report writer is my lifeline, and I use it throughout the day.
- Multi-dimensional reporting.
- Financial reports customization.
- User access control.
- The "feel" is old compared to compared to competitor offerings.
- The report writer is complicated enough that a lay user will struggle.
- Faster close compared to QB and other lower-end products.
- Custom reporting for management in a manner they prefer to see things that aren't too "accountanty."
We use third-party programs like bill.com and Salesforce for transaction processing and let Intacct do the work behind the scenes. Payables and the ledger are the two primary modules we use as we don't share information back from salesforce.

Our selection choice came down to Netsuite and Intacct. Netsuite - quite frankly - was just too expensive to take the leap for similar functionality. We also determined that the Netsuite setup would require significantly more outside help to configure and migrate data.
