Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for maintaining the general ledger and very customized financial reports using both cash and accrual accounting. We also use it for multi-entity consolidations. All of these were very difficult with QuickBooks Online.

The automation that we were most excited about was the intercompany features, as we didn't see that in other systems. I am still learning how it works, though.

Multi-entity consolidations [were] imperative, as we had to have a separate QuickBooks Online instance for each one. The automation of intercompany entries was a big selling point.

I was very impressed at the custom reporting capabilities, as I was able to pull in fields from every set of records possible all in one report. There was a learning curve at the beginning, though. I wasn't able to pull what I needed until I learned custom reporting.
