For companies that have outgrown quickbooks

We utilize intacct to manage our 43 operating real estate developments and to manage our finances at the corporate and development levels. The location feature within intacct has been invaluable in our line of work, it allows us to multiple projects/costs and corporate accounting, seamlessly.

Yes although there is room for improvement on the following: 1. The software should make sure that the AP/AR account ledger balances always match the corresponding reports....if one is not paying attention they could get out of sync, there should be an automated safety check against this happening. 2. It would be nice to have the detailed transaction information for AP/AR items show up in the general ledgers without having to drill down into the specific invoices.

As a real estate developer we are constantly turning over projects. We may manage up to 40 projects at one time at various stages in acquisition/development/Disposition. As a result of our business model there are intercompany transactions between the developer entity and the lower tier project entities which are currently set up as locations in INtacct. The downfall is that the intercompany accounts dont automatically tie into each other because of the set up (separate locations vs. separate entities). Would be nice to have the intercompany accounts tie in even with the location feature and not just the entity feature.
