Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
I use Sage Intacct for accounts payable. We process all our invoices through Sage Intacct. We use it to track GL codes and use the reports available in Sage Intacct to make sure we are not missing any bills month to month. We also use the reports to review and approve bills for payment. Once everything is approved we use Sage Intacct to cut checks. the ease of clicking a button and having your check in hand ready for final review is very nice.
Pros
- Reports. being able to see everything in the system compiled into one spread sheet for the specific category I need any any given moment is extremely useful.
- Training. The ability to utilize things like the university and the community to get help on training and discovering additional uses for Sage is extremely useful.
- Permissions. Being able to restrict people's access so they only have access to what they need and cannot make changes in places they have no place being is extremely useful.
Cons
- Imports. I think Sage Intacct could use the ability to generate a bill register, then allow the use to delete what invoices they do not want to pay with no further editing. Upload that register to Sage Intacct and have Sage Intacct automatically add all those items to the "print checks" tab.
- View payment requests. I wish this gave more details. sometimes I am cutting checks to the same vendor from 30 different entities, and I accidentally click the wrong bank account to cut the check from. If there were more details under the "view payment requests" tab; it would be easier to find the item I am looking for.
- We manage over 30 entities in Sage Intacct and being able to hop between them or se at top level is very useful.
I have not used any automation within our AP process. We have not found a way to implement it well for our company. I think we are big enough that we have the problems it would solve, but not big enough to have the personnel to implement the process. The people who would have to deal with the management side of things don't have time.
We are a multi-entity company. This aspect of Sage Intacct is very useful. I am able to easily navigate between entities and even post items that get split between entities at top level. I do wish there was an easier way to make a payment for an invoice that gets split between 20 locations by clicking the one at a time and selecting the portion only assigned to facility A, then selecting that facility's bank account, then repeating 20 times so one invoice can get paid. I want the system to have the option to recognize the bill is split between 20 locations and have a default bank account assigned to those facilities then with a click the system splits it all out and processes the payment on its own.
