Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Sage Intacct to support the link between our finance and accounting teams. It syncs with critical tools, supports accurate reports, and is a cross-check against our internal tracking.

Pros

  • Syncing with external tools
  • Building robust reports
  • Supporting accounting accuracy
  • Supporting our single audit

Cons

  • Navigation can be inconsistent and confusing
  • Pulling template reports with small changes can be unintuitive
  • Sage Intacct has allowed us to reduce the total hours required to track our finance, produce reports, and complete our audits.
We have benefitted from some limited automation, but I would need to speak to our outsourced accountants to understand how we are utilizing this better.
Project accounting is the biggest piece of this that we use. It allows us to properly manage restricted grants, particularly the government funds we receive which are subject to a single audit.

Sage Intacct is an advanced, effective tool that gives us the insights and confidence we need to execute our programs accurately. We've used Sage Intacct for two years to complete our single audits and it has greatly eased that process.

We also use Sage Intacct to produce our financial reports. It would be good to have more control over the appearance and structure of these reports to package them for external stakeholders.
