Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Our family vending business used Sage Intacct as the financial book of record for monthly and yearly statements. The ability to customize and group GL accounts was a useful feature for fine tuning our statements to be most effective at analyzing our business. It gave us the ability to analyze business cross-sections using well-defined dimensions. The dimensions and GL accounts were then used in reporting to quickly and accurately provide a snapshot of business activity that was specific to each manager, division, and line of business. We were then able to organize our reports on user-specific dashboards so that valuable information was at our fingertips upon logging in.
Pros
- Customizable reporting
- In-depth drill down into reports
- Ease of importing external data
- Automating bank reconciliation
Cons
- Increase functionality of parent/child customer relationships
- Increase stability across all web browsers
- Keeping the knowledge base more up-to-date
- Reduced our time-to-close by 3-4 business days
- Automated our distribution of internal financial statements
- Reduced our outstanding A/R by 10%
Due to how unique our business was, we were unable to automate many of the core processes because it required integrating several outside systems, some of which functioned through manual upload processes. However, we were able to standardize these processes using import templates. Once our imports were complete we were able to automate much of the distribution of our internal financial statements using the tools provided by Sage Intacct. It gave us the ability to automatically send certain reports to certain business segments/employees on a regular basis which had previously been done through spreadsheets by our CFO.
