Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
I'm the only Financial Administrator for our District and love the user friendly interface of Sage Intacct and the variety of options we didn't have in Sage 100. Also the AP invoice integration is so helpful when importing AP invoices from SAP Concur
Pros
- Import options & provides templates to import data
- Bank reconciliation has removed a lot of manual processes
- Journal entries are easier to track & maintain
Cons
- Implementation, need a better way to import data rather than creating an Excel spreadsheet for all historical journal information
- Streamlines most manual processes for AP
General ledger is easily accessible, although we don't use many functions of the system outside of AP and Bank Rec.
We only have one location so the multi-entity & global consolidations don't apply to us. We only use Sage Intacct for AP invoices

Yes
Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?
No
Would you buy Sage Intacct again?
Yes
Sage Intacct Feature Ratings
Not-For-Profit Usage
Ease of use, streamlines SAP Concur invoices to early import processes. Bank rec is so easy in Sage Intacct.
- Sage 100
Integration was tough; there were import templates, but not direct import of data so there were weeks of manually entering data into Excel templates to import into Sage Intacct, since we decided to import 5 yeras of data into the new system (Intacct)
We typically don't use these for our District. We have financial report templates that have been customized by the implementation manager for our Board packets.
Helped meet one of our goals in our Five Year Plan to established a new accounting software.
Hi-Tech Usage
Not yet, we are still within the first year of using the product.
Not really, we don't technically have revenue outside of property taxes & benefit assessments
We don't have a multi-dimensional ledger or multi-entity consolidation
Evaluating Sage Intacct and Competitors
Yes - Sage 100, we were moving to a temporary location during a building remodel, and we were disconnecting the server. We chose to keep Sage Intacct in the cloud for our District.
- Cloud Solutions
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
Ease of use nad integration with other systems. When we signed a contract with Sage Intacct, we were told ADP was part of the process for payroll, which we agreed to but now finding so many errors in the configuration of ADP feeding to Sage Intacct that we had to stop all payroll feeds from ADP to Intacct.
Sage Intacct is great for what we need, we may even expand on capital asset modules in the future.
