Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We implemented Intacct in 2025 to address reporting restrictions in our current system. Intacct will enable us to monitor inventories, speed up supplier payments and bank reconciliations, and assign budgets to users. We have not yet implemented dashboards, but they will be incredibly useful to our team members, management, and trustees.
Pros
- Provides scope for authorizations within the system, reducing emails and paper.
- Allows us to create warehouses for stock control.
- Gives options for reporting on a variety on things.
Cons
- Searching for a customer or supplier account is long-winded. It would be more useful to see all the activity on the first page rather than having to search through and set "from inception" every time. This does not appear to be a field that we can tailor to our preferences.
- Credit control could be improved by adding functionality for automated chase emails.
- Prepaid expenses would be better if you could select the GL code, raise the purchase under that, choose the duration, and have it automatically release each month.
- It's still early days for us, but I know this will save us hours on tasks each week once we are happy with all of the new processes and can automate the supplier payments.
We're still discovering a lot but two things we have been working on are bank feeds and automated supplier payments. Soon, we'll have them, and this will be fantastic for our team, saving hours and hours of work.
Sage 50 and QuickBooks are "smaller systems," whereas Intacct has the potential for system integrations, reporting and dashboards beyond what we've had in the past.
