Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SAP Commerce Cloud is our commerce platform. It is a very extensive platform and comes with OMS, product management and much more. It does the job but the experience is a bit dispersive - there are many backend to login in order to manage all the ecommerce properties. Also, SAP CC requires quite an effort in terms of maintenance, updates and it is not very scalable.

Scalability

In my opinionm the software is not scalable per se. You need to increase the infrastructure budget and invest constantly some money on system optimization in order to achieve some kind of scalability - but all of that is very resource intensive. As a business user, I should focus on sales, not constantly on IT matters.

Ease of Integration

SAP Commerce Cloud can definitely work well with the SAP ERP. You can clearly see that they come from the same company as their product logic is the same and they completely match. Also, SAP Commerce Cloud can work with the many customizations developed on SAP ERP without too complex development operations.

SAP Commerce Cloud is a great fit maybe for a company that has a number of in house developers and that is already using a SAP ERP solution. Differently, it tends to be very expensive and the business users will forever depend on developers for every single operation.
