Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur
We use SAP Concur to process expense reimbursements, schedule cash advances for trips, and reconcile credit card statements. My specific role is centralized around ensuring credit card reports submitted exactly match their statements in amount and transactions. I also ensure all transactions are reasonable business purchases and send back reports when they do not fit within our policy.
Pros
- UI
- Mileage tracker
- Custom dimensions
Cons
- Custom reporting could be more intuitive
- I have had issues with support not being super helpful
- Attachment uploading and viewing is a bit clunky
- SAP Concur is paramount to reconciling our company CCs
- We are able to get staff their reimbursements faster than ever, which has improved their trust in our department
- The integration we have with our accounting system, Intacct, saves us countless man hours
- Expensify and Apptricity Travel & Expense
We used Expensify before I was hired, but here is what I understand from that situation. Expensify was clunky and our staff struggled with the UI, whereas SAP Concur is much more clear and allows for a better connection to Intacct. At a previous company I used Apptricity. Apptricity seemed like it was developed in 2004 and hadn't been updated since.
Our accounting software, Intacct, syncs well with SAP Concur. That is one of the main reasons we have the software. The ability to connect all of our expenses within SAP Concur directly to Intacct saves us so much time and effort each week. It allows us to distribute reimbursements on a weekly basis.
The ability to integrate SAP Concur with our ELAN credit cards allowed us to really expand what we were able to do with company cards that wasn't previously possible. The software is very flexible and able to grow with our organization as we grow, which has been great. I don't think we would be able to keep up with CC recons or reimbursements without SAP Concur.
It has allowed our staff to take trips and expense all of their transactions efficiently and effectively once they return. It allows us to reconcile trip advances on a line-by-line basis and approve each individual expense as far as it aligns with our policy. Staff and administration alike benefit from its usability and intuitive UI.
