Great UI, focus on improvement
Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur
We at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (a non-profit institution and consortium of over 120 colleges and universities focused on research in Earth system science, tasked with managing the national lab, the National Center for Atmospheric Research) utilize SAP Concur for travel request, travel booking, expense management (including P-Cards and T-Cards - purchasing and travel), and reporting. We went to SAP Concur from a paper travel request and reimbursement process and have been very happy.
Pros
- Expense Management
- Reporting (via Cognos)
- User-Friendly Interface (UI)
Cons
- Workflow
- Approvals
- Roles & Permissions
- Our travel team has had much more time to focus on auditing
- Users have a much better workflow
- Users can see the status of their requests and reimbursements
Sungard IFAS - This ERP is old and limited in functionality. Working on implementing Workday Financials. It has been difficult at times to integrate the systems in a way where fields from each are matched up properly.
SAP has picked up the pace recently in developing innovative technology for its platform. I especially appreciate their dedication to collecting user feedback via user feedback sessions, both in-person at the annual Fusion conference, and virtually via video conference meetings. SAP staff seems keen to take feedback seriously and put a lot of value on it to make the software better over time.
Employee experience is great. Travel arrangers and individual travelers, as well as those getting reimbursements for non-travel costs, have great visibility into their requests and reimbursements and have praised the system for its ease of use. Most of our questions about SAP Concur tend to be about travel policy, not about the application.
