Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur
Although I like SAP Concur more than the paper trail my company was using, there is still a lot of room for improvement. There needs to be more Expense Types as not all of the expenses we create are listed in the dropdown. in addition, if you create an Associate Meal (traveling), you cannot add co-workers to your meal if you are covering for a group of people traveling. It also picks up too many itemizations and there needs to be a way to remove ALL of the itemizations as opposed to removing them one at a time after scanning in a receipt.
Pros
- Scanning in receipts
- Making it easy to submit and approve
- Allowing notes to explain expenses
Cons
- It does not allow adding people to Associate Meals (traveling) so you can take employees out to eat that you are traveling with
- It automatically itemizes all receipts scanned in and you have to remove each itemization one at a time.
- This saved us a lot of time over 250 employees from doing manual to automated expenses.
- This allowed us to pay employees up to 30 days sooner with the automation
That is not my side of the business so I do not know.
Unknown, as we went from a manual process to SAP Concur.
Our associates, especially sales people, have been clamoring for an automated expense report system for years and this helped us get current and made the team a lot happier than the manual way we were doing expenses. For managers it has really helped in monitoring the expenses and pushing back on the associates for corrections in a easy and quick way.

SAP Concur Feature Ratings
SAP Concur Attributes
- Uploading receipts
- totaling expenses
- submitting to the correct people
- multiple receipts for one expense
- itemizing receipts
- knowing which report to return to for the month
No paperwork! All online and easier to track. It is great for associates to be able to use their phone to upload receipts and for managers to get one report every month to approve.
Product Benefits
- receipt picture upload
- Concur determining total on receipt without me having to type it in.
- easy to send in for approval.
- I was not part of the integration team
We have saved our support team hours of sifting through paper copies of forms and receipts in order to get expenses paid.
I have not experienced any other expense management programs.
The best way to get employees to start using it is to have them jump in and get their first receipt uploaded and saved and then help walk them through the process as they experience it for the first time.
Using SAP Concur
250 - They represent all business functions. Most of pur people that use it are in leadership, sales, and services.
2 - We have one technical person and one person that is approving all the reports
- Taking clients out for meals
- client gifts
- company events
- None, we use it like everyone else
- Unknown
Evaluating SAP Concur and Competitors
- Cloud Solutions
- Ease of Use
Ease of use was the number one factor for me and my team. It had to be easy for the employees to learn.
I would have had more of the management staff look at all the options that we entertained for expense management.
