We are using SAP MDG for master data governance of all group companies. Along with SAP MDG we are using SAP IS for data quality monitoring.
Pros
- Golder records of master data
- Workflow based requests approval
- Standard SAP specific master data model
- Standard integration with downstream SAP ECC system
Cons
- SAP MDG do not provide any dash board for master data
- Available process analysis dash board is incomplete
- Some of the NWBC UI modification is difficult and do not support customization
- Availability of SAP MDG functional consultant is major issue
- Improved compliance and data accuracy
- Improved data quality
- Lot of issue in ensuring consistency of customized functionality
- In upgrade no one has idea about changes in functionality
- Informatica Axon Data Governance, SAS Business Rules Manager, IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog and PiLog Master Data Record Manager (MDRM)
