We migrated our VMs to Scale from SimpliVity. The VMs on our Scale clusters are used across our whole organization.
- Simple to manage
- No VMWare complexity or licensing costs
- Fast and stable
- More statistics and analytics
- When using a VM console in a web browser, you cannot copy and paste information to and from the VM in the console
Active Directory, SQL Server, File Servers, Kronos, MySQL, and various application servers have all been running great on our Scale clusters.
- Positive: Lower cost for the Scale solution compared to other hyper-converged solutions on the market.
- Positive: Lower ongoing costs due to not needing VMWare.

- HPE SimpliVity (formerly OmniCube)
We replaced our 5-year-old SimpliVity hyper-converged solution with two 3-node Scale clusters in 2018. We went with Scale Computing HC3 over a new HP/OmniStack solution due to cost and feedback from other Scale users who were very happy with the product. We also liked the simple interface and not having the overhead and complexity of VMWare.
