Overall Satisfaction with Scale Computing Platform

We utilize the Scale Computing Platform as a central
element of our IT infrastructure. SCP provides us with a highly
scalable and flexible solution. By consolidating servers and efficiently utilizing resources, we have reduced complexity while lowering operating costs. Furthermore,
the platform's high scalability has enabled us to quickly grow into upcoming demands without compromising performance. Additionally, we have successfully integrated SCP into our
disaster recovery strategy, leading to highly improved resilience and data
security.
  • VMs transitioning from one host to another without any sort of hiccup or service interruption
  • all in all very thoughtful and strategic usefull GUI
  • Automated and transparent replication of VMs towards DR nodes
  • Shell access for experienced and SCALE certified users
All my support request have been handled very timely and precise. Recently they set up a european support office, now it is even a step better
We are running our AD and LDAP servers in a HA setup on SCP. The uptime of these 3 services is congruent with the purchase date. that should say all.
  • 30% less needed hardware for the same output as a self managed KVM
  • 75% down on support costs
  • -100% weekend operations
Even though SCP uses parts of KVM, their approach is an engineers dream: you order, you deploy, you are productive.
oVirt is also a very sophisticated product, but the learning curve for us was a bit steep

Very good for linux and windows guests, also VDI is working hillarious. But I'd rather not use it for Docker or Portainer scenarios
