Overall Satisfaction with Scale Computing Platform
Scale Computing Platform has been great for our school system. We run servers including domain controllers, deployment servers, file servers, print servers, etc. These all run very fast and reliably. The Scale Computing Platform solution replaced a mix of VMWare servers and standalone servers. Having everything in a single platform minimizes work effort.
Pros
- Speed. This platform is extremely fast with enough hard drives and memory.
- Reliability. In over 5 years of use, we've only had 1 memory chip go bad.
- Support. Support has been great!
Cons
- Initial setup could take a little work. Once it's running though, it's great!
- The cost could be prohibitive for some organizations (especially school systems).

We used a mixture of VMWare and stand-alone servers prior to moving to the Scale Computing Platform. After the initial investment, this has lowered our cost to maintain our server environment.
