Overall Satisfaction with ScreenConnect

We have 5 employees in our company that use ScreenConnect to connect and support our customers with their software applications.
  • It is very easy to connect a customer either via telling them the website to go to and enter their name or to email them a link to use to connect.
  • It is very quick and works across every operating system platform where our prior system had compatibility issues in this area.
  • The feature to do remote host connections works very well, this is good for unattended machines or trusted customers that are not particularly IT savvy.
  • I would like the ability to see all monitors and scroll across them instead of the need to switch between monitors. You can see all monitors at first so to speak but the resolution is so small that you need to pick a specific monitor.
  • Sometimes, with multiple screens the sizing gets messed up but require just zooming in. Most users have multiple screens so making it easy to work with them it very important.
  • I prefer to not pay a monthly fee and would appreciate to purchase outright with options to upgrade in the future but in my initial research this required me to host this on my server and based on prior experience with other systems this may not be the best decision.
  • On a positive note, the program has been relatively easy to learn and use. It is easier for our customers as well so this removes downtime that we used to experience when we were connecting with our customers. This is a definite ROI!
We used Ammy in the past and replaced it with ScreenConnect. I loved that we could put the icon on the customers desktop and it was so easy to connect but we had issues with connections with newer operating systems and their company was not keeping up. We also have looked at TeamViewer and GoToAssist but the cost of entry was too much for their platforms.
ScreenConnect is well suited in our environment where we are connecting with customers that are on different environments that we do not have control over. I would think that an internal IT person that is supporting his users can find something that they can purchase permanently and not pay a monthly fee.
