Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am using ScreenConnect as a personal solution to access both my servers remotely as well as for accessing friends' and family computers that I regularly support / help with. My day job does not require me to have remote access to anything, therefore I do not use ScreenConnect "professionally". I have however recommended it because it is a great alternative to logmein and other, more expensive, solutions.

Alternatives Considered

VIdeo performance was slightly better with logmein, and I regularly use VMware View as well. But for simple remote management of a system ScreenConnect fits the bill. There are many other features that ScreenConnect has that Im not leveraging. I like that they are there, and may use them in the future.

VMware vCenter Server, Microsoft Azure, Zerto Virtual Replication

Likelihood to Recommend

ScreenConnect is well suited for an environment where you are trying to access a resource that is behind a firewall or some other network where NAT is either insecure, or not available. I would avoid ScreenConnect for situations where you need high performance video remotely. A solution like VMware View or Citrix would probably be better suited in that situation.
