Overall Satisfaction with ScreenConnect

We use ScreenConnect to make accessing our devices in the field much easier. We deploy small Linux based devices to our clients and ScreenConnect's software works perfectly on them. We're notified when our units go on and offline and we're able to immediately connect to online units to resolve issues or update client information. We also use ScreenConnect internally to access employee computers whenever needed to perform updates or troubleshoot issues. ScreenConnect was chosen for the compatibility issues it solved for us when dealing with multiple platforms, and their pricing model is excellent.
  • Easy to install and set up.
  • Compatibility across multiple platforms including various forms of Linux.
  • Inexpensive. Compared to other services, ScreenConnect was the best priced option for us.
  • Different mousing option on mobile. I'd like the mouse to stay center screen and have the ability to increase the size of the tap buttons or change them to gestures or multi-touch options.
  • Speed. I'm not sure of the technology behind how the image is refreshed, but I feel like it could be a bit faster. When compared to other services like TeamViewer, ScreenConnect is a bit slower when using the same machine, same connection. We're not talking about a huge difference here, but enough to be noticed.
  • Finding and using ScreenConnect saves us money every time we put it on a new device. Our biggest issue before was multi-platform compatibility and ScreenConnect solved that for us. Its low resource usage allows us to use it on our devices without the need for additional software which is a huge cost saving to us.
We chose ScreenConnect over TeamViewer due to compatibility and overall cost. On the devices we use, TeamViewer required special software in order to run, not to mention it was more resource heavy so it slowed everything down. ScreenConnect works easily and barely uses any resources. ScreenConnect is a bit slower than TeamViewer, but I expect that will improve with time to come. ScreenConnect already has many of the same features of TeamViewer and more in some areas. The central management for ScreenConnect makes it extremely easy for us to connect to our devices from anywhere we need to, no matter where the devices are. As long as you and the device have an internet connection, you can monitor it and connect to it with ease.
ScreenConnect can be adapted to be used in a variety of ways. It's designed to work best as remote access computer support, but it can be used to keep track of devices or work internally for IT related tasks. Since the pricing structure is based on user count and not the number of devices, the pricing is ideal for companies with a large number of devices or clients, but only a few employees. This allows you to keep ScreenConnect loaded even on computers that don't always need access without being a waste of money.
