Overall Satisfaction with ScreenConnect
I am using ScreenConnect in a support role. When my users and clients have issues, I use ScreenConnect to remotely assist them. I work in a cross-platform (Mac, Windows, iOS) environment, and chose ScreenConnect because of the features to support various platforms. I use this just in my department, and it allows me to assist my users and clients who are dispersed around the country.
Pros
- Relatively easy.
- Relatively fast.
- Very competitive pricing.
- Works on Mac and WIndows platforms.
Cons
- The administrator console is a bit confusing.
- There are some keyboard bugs when using VMware Fusion on Remote users machines when remoting into the Mac OS.
- The account login screen is not real obvious when going to their webpage.
- It was less expensive than most of the competition.
- The software actually works, and very reliably compared to other choices.
- It is pretty simple to get a session going with a new user.
I have used Logmein, Joinme and GotomyPc in the past. They all have their pros and cons. For support purposes I've found ScreenConnect to be a very good choice. It has a good amount of features and is not nearly as buggy as some of the other products. I've had far fewer issues with disconnects and installation issues.
