Overall Satisfaction with Shift
I use Shift to manage multiple business accounts in Google Workspaces along with my personal gmail account. It allows me to segregate my work environments with needed apps such as calendar, hangouts, email and social media accounts. I also use several AI interfaces with grok, ChatGPT, and a private LLM between each of the tabs. It allows me flexibility without consuming a lot of memory on my system. In contrast I used to attempt similar work functions in Chrome and Brave but kept having issues with crashes.
Pros

- Ease of layout on the side and top nav
- easy access to needed apps
- Lots of apps to be able to run together
Cons
- Context switching with notifications is a challenge
- More compatibility for custom applications
- Increased productivity with faster context switching
- Better recognition on notifications allowing faster response time to customers
- Battery life of my machine is better than use competitor products
I have primarily used the Google Suite (email, calendar, chat, docs/sheets), X(twitter), ChatGPT, Grok. I like how many applications are able to be integrated as my business needs progress they are available to integrate
The ability to preload parts of the same application (google suite) have been create for context switching between workspaces or even just between apps so that i don't have to wait for loading to begin using the apps. and it keeps my working area clean and separate from brwoser and other apps
